The history of Summit Productions and the company's growth within the
industry has been phenomenal.
Summit Productions was formed in 1984 by Gene and Denise Wiseman as a way to provide local
fire department and rescue squads with an honest and personal way to raise extra operating
funds without creating extra work or confusion for the organizations.
The Wiseman's had worked for other companies doing similar projects for almost 10 years
and felt that there had to be another way to provide this service to organizations so that
the focus of the fund raising project would be the organizations and providing customers
with a quality service.
Summit Productions has experienced overwhelming growth since it was
founded by sticking to a basic creed that has become their daily mission statement:

"To continuously strive to provide an excellent service to non-profit organizations
through hard work, professional attitude, and outstanding customer service."
Summit Productions started out with 3 employees, an attic for an office,
a handful of contracts, and a mountain of dreams and goals. The original fund
raising projects only included fire departments and rescue squads in North Carolina and
offered a $10.00 coupon that entitled the customer to receive an 8X10 print of their
family for the contribution they gave their district department or squad.
Times changed - as well as fire department's and rescue squad's needs for extra funds - so
we here at Summit changed and created new fund raising projects to accommodate this while
still maintaining their goals of quality service and products and their dreams of
continued growth.
In the late 1980's, Summit Productions extended it's helping hand into Maryland and
surrounding states and started offering new services and better project plans for their
sponsors. Some new services included a $25.00 and a $35.00 certificate with an increased
free portrait size. Summit was able to offer these better services while never lowering
the sponsor's profit or the quality of their product. This was a great accomplishment
within the fund raising industry.
At the beginning of 1990, Summit Productions became completely computerized. This was a
major accomplishment. Customer service was dramatically improved, as well as the overall
daily operations and accounting process. The computerization of the corporate office also
made the fund raising experience much easier for their sponsors as well. It allowed Summit
to provide sponsors a standard accounting method for the settlement process and created a
way to database information for the sponsors so that they could be provided information
such as contributor's names, addresses, phone numbers, certificate numbers, and
contribution amounts.
As the years have quickly passed to bring Summit Productions into the new millennium, new
sponsor contracts have increased over 400%, employees have gone from 3 to over 40
professionally trained sales people in several states, and customer satisfaction has gone
through the roof!
Recently, Summit entered the Adult and Kiddie Glamour program into their ever-growing
portfolio. This has been a wonderful program with amazing fund raising potential for
sponsors.
Summit Productions is the oldest photography fund raising organization within the state to
become licensed and bonded to do this type of business. It is currently a North Carolina
state law for fund raising businesses to be licensed and bonded. All licensed and bonded
fund raising companies in the state of North Carolina will appear on the state's
"Annual Detailed Summary of Professional Solicitor's Activities - Final Accounting
Report" .¹ Non-profit organizations are required to report income received, how it
was received, and where it was received from.
Summit Productions has been recognized by several organizations over the years for their
relentless efforts in providing non-profit organizations with new and exciting ways to
create capital through portrait fund raising. Some of these include:
